Throughout united states history, technological development have played an important role in transforming American society. The railroad and television have both positive and negative effects on the united states and on American society.
Railroads played a large role in the development of the us from the industiral revolution in the north east 1810-50 to the settlement of the west 1850-1890. Railroads was a positive affect because it helped with transportation and getting to places faster. Before people walked or rode a horse to get around. Railroads moved goods and people street distance.Railroads also had a negative affect in the sense that it made the American society think negative racist views of the chinese immigrants who were helping construct the railroads.
Television had an important role because it gave entertainment. TV played an important role in the political process, particularly in shaping national election campaigns. Majorities who appeared on TV were Caucasian. On Sept 26th 1960 a debate between the two major candidates for presidency of the US was presented on TV for the first time. Education TV also made important advance in 1960. National educational television delivered a few hours of comparatively inexpensive programming a film and video tape of educational situations across the country. TV has a positive effect because instaed of having to go read about the news or weather you can watch educational things. Its negative because there are alot of bad things on TV and children can see it.
As you can see technology played a very important role. The upgrade of technology if for things to be easier for you and less difficult.

community service
I volunteered for T.e.a.m R.o.c.k . T.e.a.m R.oc.k stands
for together everyone achieves more with respect organization commitment and
kindness. This organization help the community in many ways ,they help young men
and women with school , they teach life goal and stuff you need help with in
life , they also do their own community service by feeding homeless . Team rock
goes on every first and third Tuesday of every month 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Team
rock is at the Huntington family center in the basement. Their service is need
because it helps kids and young adults become someone and gives them something
to do, they teach them many different life skills and helps them with school.
When I volunteered for team rock I gave kids thanks giving dinner.
During the process I had to go to the store with my mom and purchase food and
table cloth. We had gone to Walmart to buy dressing neck bones seasoning and
ham. We also went to dollar store for table cloth that you can color on and do puzzles.
When we got home we had to prepare the food and season it, the cooking took
about 5 hours. Than the next day was the dinner. During the dinner we set up
the room other people also brought food and desert. During the dinner we played
family feud and other mini games winner got a price chopper card.
Doing the community service it had a great outcome, seeing
people come together and have and enjoy they time was good. This has a positive
reaction because everyone had fun and every one was smiling. Yes, I feel I made
a difference. Giving back to your community made me feel good. Community service
has an impact on our society; because you’re not working for money you’re working
to help other people and your community. Yeas I would recommend volunteering
for team rock because there a great organization because it a fun thing to do
and you also get help with stuff while helping other people. Team rock was a great
thing to happen for me because without them I wouldn’t know how to do certain things
or I wouldn’t have the support system I have to push me to succeed.
Team rock helped me with a lot like school and working. They helped
me on communicating an speaking to people and presenting. Sometimes it might
not be the funniest but it also look good on college and it open me to opportunities
and I meet new people every day. Team rock is a good experience to have we
might do stuff with community but we also get back we go on trips and have cool
fund raisers. Every year we have a gala and we get to dress u and have silent auctions.
I am also a mentor to a younger kid and I get mentored and we help on stuff we have
problem with. This is my community service essay .
